KORANGAL VALLEY, Afghanistan – The Marines and sailors of 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines, took the fight to the enemy in the Korangal Valley last week during Operation Cornhuskers. Facing steep hillsides with housing spring out at odd angles, the Marines nevertheless searched every house they came across looking for weapons and clues to the enemy’s whereabouts.
