KORANGAL VALLEY, Afghanistan – 3rd Battalion Marines and sailors set in above a group of villages in the Korangal Valley where Anti-Coalition Militias have been operating in the past weeks. Operation Cornhuskers was the battalion’s response. 3rd Bn., 3rd Marine Regiment is based out of Marie Corps Base Hawaii.
