“Because the Korengal Valley in the Kunar Province proved to be the most problematic area in TAOR Trinity, it became the focus of the Battalion’s main effort. In January the Battalion staff began operational plans to leverage the village elders in the Korengal Valley to eradicate anti-government activists who had conducted numerous attacks on India Company.
